Description

The Canal Stables at Delph Locks, built in the late 19th century, are a single-storey structure made of red and blue brick arranged in alternate courses. The building features seven segmental-headed windows and two doorways with stable-type doors, all covered with slate roofing. Currently disused, these stables are noted for their historic significance, as they are said to be the last surviving canal stables in the Black Country. The stables, along with the canal footbridge and Delph Locks, form a cohesive group of historical structures.
