Description
The Towpath Bridge over the Netherton Tunnel Branch at the junction with the New Main Line, located approximately 400 meters east of Dudley Port, is a mid-19th century structure. It is made of cast iron with brick abutments that feature some sandstone dressings. The bridge has a single shallow segmental arch, and its sides are a single casting designed with a lattice pattern of saltire crosses. The bridge is inscribed with the words "TOLL END WORKS." The Netherton Tunnel itself was opened in 1858.
