Description

SO 98 NW DUDLEY PEDMORE ROAD Dudley No 1 Canal 6/10004 Towpath Bridge, approximately 50m east of Woodside Bridge II

Towpath bridge over disused branch. 1858. Cast Iron with rusticated stone dresses brick abutments and capstones. Brick wing walls. Single shallow arch with sides pierced with saltaire crosses. Inscribed "Horseley Company Tipton 1858". Ridged plate deck. Bridgeover eastern end of Two Lock Line which linked Dudley No.1 and No. 2 canals, forming a short cut around Blowers locks.
