Description

Number 9, Mushroom Green is a 17th century or possibly earlier dwelling, significantly altered over time. The exterior is now finished with modern painted roughcast and cement over original rubble stonework. The house is two storeys high, with two modern casement windows. A plain doorway features a segmental head and a modern door, and the eaves are plain, with modern tiles. An outbuilding extends from the right-hand side and a modern bay has been added to the left of the ground storey. The building is included on the list for its historical interest, being one of the few surviving dwellings from that period in the area.
