Description

Number 1, Red Lion Street is a 17th century building with later alterations. It is partly timber-framed, rendered, and colourwashed, standing two storeys high with an attic. The building features a steeply pitched pantile roof and a weatherboarded gable on the south side. The eaves have an overhang supported by pairs of brackets. Sash windows are present at the first floor level. There is a modern shop front on the south and east sides. A brick chimney stack is located at the north end, with a parapetted gable on the north side. An attic window is situated in the south gable.
