Description
Cradley Heath Baptist Church is a Baptist church built in 1904, marked by its red brick construction with terra cotta dressings and bands. The west facade features a prominent 5-light window with a segmental head and free Perpendicular tracery, set beneath a gable adorned with urn finials. At the apex, there is a corbelled niche topped with a broken pediment. Below this, four round-headed windows are present. Flanking the central window are doorways, each topped with pediments that rise from a cornice extending across the main window. Behind the left doorway, there is a turret with a pyramid roof, while the right side features a tower topped with a slated spire and an elaborate bell stage. The bell openings are framed by rusticated Doric columns, complete with a balustrade and pediment. The nave includes windows with three round-headed lights and free Perpendicular tracery, with two on the north side and three on the south. The interior was not accessible during the survey but appeared to include a west gallery with a curved front, a chancel arch, and an apsidal east end.
