Description
Haden Hill Hall is a house located in Haden Hill Park, dating from around 1700 and 1878. It is constructed of brick with a tile roof, featuring stone dressings on the 19th-century wing. The eastern-facing part of the building consists of more than one construction phase, though the exact development is unclear. The right side of the facade has three storeys, with a gable on the left and a three-storey bay window with a crow-stepped gable to the right of the entrance. The windows are mullioned, each with a blank pointed arch above the lights. On the ground floor to the left, there is a canted bay window, while the second floor features a bay window with a segmental head. To the left, there is a recessed three-bay, two-storey section of the facade, which has a straight joint and a break in the roofline between the second and third bays. Flanking the central doorway are two-light windows, and on the first floor, there are three-light, two-light, and three-light windows. Above the ground floor, there is a tile-covered string course. The left side has a projecting wing with a three-storey canted bay window rebuilt in 20th-century brick and a crow-stepped gable. There are chimneys on the left and on each side of the right part of the facade. The 19th-century wing faces south. The main facade includes a cross-wing on the left with a shaped gable and a two-storey bay window, while the right side has two bays with a doorway in the right bay. At the time of the survey in December 1985, the earlier part of the building was a roofless shell and undergoing extensive repairs following a fire.
