Description
The Loyal Lodge Inn Public House is an 18th century building with later alterations. It features engraved stucco and stands two storeys high. The façade includes two early 19th century three-light wood casement windows with plain surrounds, and a simple late 19th century doorway with a four-panelled door. On the ground floor, there are canted bay windows on either side, each topped with a tiled lean-to roof, and the ends are gabled with modern tiles. A stone tablet on the first storey is inscribed with the date 1736 and the initials GIM. Inside, the ground floor has exposed ceiling beams. The property also includes an early 19th century wing at the rear.
