Description

The Churchyard Cross is probably of medieval origin. It features a tall cylindrical stone shaft that is significantly fractured and weathered, topped with a later ball finial and a small cross. Originally located in Cornbow, it was moved to its current position in 1963. The cross is part of a group that includes the Church of St John the Baptist, along with its walls and gates.
