Description

This is an 1830s stucco villa with a coach house to the south, originally built to match number 7. The main house is a detached two-storey building with a three-bay front. It features a plinth, a band at sill level, and a deep frieze. The roof is slate, with overhanging eaves and corniced chimneys. Around 1870, two-storey canted bays were added to the sides, complete with cornices and blocking courses. The windows are sash windows with no glazing bars. The central entrance is round-headed, with a recessed doorcase made of fluted, slender Roman Doric columns, an entablature above the door, and a radial fanlight with looped and marginal glazing. A single-storey coach house is located on the south side, connected to the main house by a low screen wall and featuring a four-centred archway.
