Description

No. 9, Portland Road, is a house dating to circa 1860. It is rendered, likely originally stuccoed, with a slate roof. The ground floor is rusticated with quoins on the left and right, and features a central closed porch with an arched entrance and tripartite windows. Above the ground floor is a richly moulded cornice band. The first floor has three windows, each with blind balustrades beneath and elaborate shell-moulds above. A rich, dentilled eaves cornice runs along the roofline, which incorporates modern roof lights. To the left of the main facade is a rusticated archway.
