Description

LAPWORTH STRATFORD-UPON-AVON CANAL SP 16 NE 3/144 Lock Cottage No. 3 II Lock cottage. 1812-1813. Later, C19 additions. Rendered brick with asphalt-covered brick barrel-vault roof with segmental parapet gable ends. Off-centre brick stack. Single storey. Off-centre doorway in west gable end wall, with plank door. Single, 3-light casement to left. South wall has a 2-light casement, with a 3-light casement to right. North wall has a 2-light casement with to left, a later, C19 2 bay twin- gabled extension with plain tile roofs and brick stack. A single, 2-light casement in each bay. The Southern Stratford Canal was constructed between 1812-1816.
