Description
Finwood Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early 17th century, with an earlier structure on the left range. The left side is built of brick, while the right side is roughcast, likely over timber-framing. The ground floor center features brick, and the eaves center has close-studded timber-framing with 20th-century brick infill. The roof is covered with old plain tiles, and there is a large brick ridge stack to the left of center with four diagonally set flues, along with a brick internal stack to the left of center that has two diagonally set flues. Additionally, there is an 18th-century brick ridge stack to the right of center. The farmhouse is two stories high and has a four-window range. There is a 20th-century door leading to a 20th-century porch at the center, with 20th-century casements arranged in irregular fenestration. On the right return, there is small timber-framing with brick infill on the ground floor and close-studded timber-framing with rendered infill on the first floor and attic. Inside, there are massive open fireplaces located in the center of the ground floor.
