Description
The Fleur de Lys Public House is a public house dating from the 15th century, with a probable 16th-century addition and later alterations. The building features roughcast, likely over timber-framing, with painted brick on the left side and old plain-tile roofs. It has various brick stacks, including a central ridge stack with diagonally set flues. The structure is two stories high, with a two-bay main range, a two-story, three-bay cross-wing to the right, and a two-story, four-bay addition to the left. A 20th-century ribbed door is located at the center of the main range, framed by wood architrave and topped with a pediment gabled hood supported by brackets. The windows are irregularly arranged, mostly consisting of 20th-century casements, except for a four-light 18th-century casement on the first floor to the right of the main range and a three-light 18th-century casement on the first floor to the right of the addition. Inside, much of the framing is visible.
