Description

Bushwood House is probably an early 17th-century house situated on the south side of Rowington Hanley Road, near Lowsonford. The house is likely rendered over timber framing, with an old plain-tile roof. It features a brick ridge stack to the cross-wing on the right, with two diagonally-set flues, and a massive brick ridge stack to the cross-wing at the rear left, also with several diagonally-set flues. The main range is two storeys high with a three-window front. A two-storey cross-wing projects to the right, and a two-storey, two-bay cross-wing extends to the rear left. A five-panel door is located to the right of the main range, sheltered by a lean-to hood. The windows are regularly spaced casements. The rear left cross-wing exhibits square timber framing. The interior has not been inspected.
