Description

Lowsonford Bridge is a road bridge built around 1816 for the Stratford-on-Avon Canal. It features a single brick arch with stone impost blocks and keystones on each side of the arch. The bridge has flat brick bands at the base of its plain brick parapets, which are topped with stone copings. The Stratford-on-Avon Canal began construction in 1793 and was completed in 1816. This bridge is designated as No. 41 and is included for its group value.
