Description

White House Farmhouse is a 16th-century farmhouse, later altered and now used as a house. It is located in Rowington, on Lapworth Street, near Lowsonford. The building has a painted plinth and exhibits large timber framing with arched braces to the upper panels, incorporating painted brick infill. The roof is covered with old plain tiles, featuring a brick ridge stack positioned to the right of the centre, and a 20th-century rebuilt end stack to the left. The farmhouse is single-storey and attic, with a four-window front. A 20th-century door leads to a 20th-century porch in the centre of the front. The windows are irregular 20th-century casements. There are four gabled dormers, each with a two-light casement. The interior has not been inspected.
