Description

Pypes Mill House is a late 16th century timber-framed mill house that has been modernised. It stands two storeys tall, with the ground floor refaced in red brick while the upper storey features close set studding that remains exposed. The house has a steeply pitched roof with gabled ends. A central recessed porch contains an oak plank door. On both the left and right sides, there are modern tiled bay windows with leaded lights. The first floor has four 2-light casement windows. A large projecting sandstone chimney stack is located at the north-east gable. At the rear, there is a modern two-storey painted brick gabled addition.
