Description

Featherbow House is a house located on Featherbow Lane in Ratley, dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century. It is not built as a single structure, with the left range constructed in the 19th or 20th century. The house features regular coursed ironstone with irregular quoins, and the left range has rougher stonework. The roofs are slate, with a coped gable parapet on the right side and stone end stacks on the central and right ranges, along with a central 20th-century brick ridge stack.

The main facade faces the garden and consists of a two-unit plan for each range. The left range has two storeys, while the central and right ranges have three storeys, each with two windows. Each range includes a central doorway and 19th-century casement windows. The left range features a late 20th-century glazed door, while the central and right ranges have part-glazed doors with stone lintels that include keystones. The central range has a small stone projection on the right side. The ground floor has three windows, including a three-light casement on the left, and there is a late 20th-century conservatory. The right range has a semi-circular lead canopy porch supported by timber posts and a three-light part-leaded casement to the right. The end stack features a string course, and the rear of the house is irregular. The interior has not been inspected.
