Description
Motte Hollow is a semi-detached cottage located on the south side of Ratley High Street. It dates from the mid-18th century, with some 19th-century additions and alterations. The building is constructed of coursed ironstone and features a thatched roof with two brick ridge stacks. It has a four-unit plan and stands two storeys high, with a four-window range. The entrance is located at the rear. The windows are casements with glazing bars and painted wood lintels, while the left end has two windows under a continuous lintel. There is a raked half-dormer on the right side. To the left, there is a single-storey 20th-century addition with a stone slate roof. The rear of the building is similar to the front and includes two late 20th-century glazed doors. The interior has not been inspected.
