Description

Keeper’s Cottage is a 17th-century cottage with additions from the mid-to-late 20th century. It is timber framed, featuring square framing with whitewashed brick infill and a brick plinth. The roof is tiled, with a brick ridge stack composed of two diagonally-set square shafts. The cottage originally had a two-unit plan, and has since been extended into an L-shape. It has two storeys and an attic, with a three-window range facing the garden, plus an addition. Windows include 19th-century wood casements with glazing bars, and 20th-century leaded-light casements. The front entrance features a late 20th-century half-glazed door and an open timber-framed porch added in the 20th century as part of a wing. A return side exhibits exposed timber framing. The interior was not inspected at the time of listing. Additions are of whitewashed brick.
