Description

This is a house with an attached coach house and surrounding walls, dating to circa 1800. The house is constructed of red brick with a wooden cornice and paired shaped eaves brackets. It has a slate hipped roof and brick stacks. Built in a Neoclassical style, the house is three storeys high, with a three-window front. The central entrance features double flat-panelled doors and a fanlight with decorative glazing, set within a Greek Doric doorcase consisting of three-quarter columns with dosserets and triglyphs, topped with a broken pediment with dentils. The ground floor has tripartite windows with raised pediments above the central sash and moulded architraves and sills, all recessed within round arches. Upper floors have gauged brick flat arches and stucco sills. The central windows on the first floor have moulded wood architraves with a cornice and dentils, while the second floor has centre-hung sashes. A large two-storey canted bay window is present on the left return side. The interior has not been inspected.

A single-storey link in matching style and materials connects the house to the coach house, featuring a flat-panelled door and trellis porch. The coach house is two storeys high and has a two-window front, with doors and windows recessed within two unequal giant round arches. The left side retains original coach doors under a shallow segmental brick arch, with a sixteen-pane sash window above. A wider opening on the right has been altered, and the window above has been blocked. The coach house has a hipped roof with a small louvred lantern and weathervane. Attached brick walls are present, topped with stone acorn finials.
