Description
19 and 21 High Street are a pair of houses built in the 1820s. They are constructed of brick faced with pebbledash and feature a steeply pitched tile roof, with renewed tiles at the eaves and a brick cross-axial stack. The houses have a two-unit plan and are two storeys high, with a two-window range. A top dentilled brick cornice adorns the building. Each house has a round-headed entrance at either end, featuring a plank tympanum above a six-flush-panel door. On the ground floor, there are two windows, each with two round-headed lights, a central springer, and small-paned casements with iron opening casements. The first floor has two segmental-headed windows, each with two-light small-paned casements and iron opening casements. Similar ground-floor windows can be found in cottages built in 1827 in Scholars Lane, Stratford-upon-Avon. The interior has not been inspected.
