Description
These are a pair of houses located on High Street in Henley-in-Arden. The houses date back to the 17th century, although they underwent significant alterations in the early 20th century. They are timber-framed with painted plaster infill and have a gabled tile roof with a large brick stack at the rear of the ridge. The plan is in a "T" shape.
The exterior is single-storey with an attic. The houses have a two-window frontage. Two entrances with 20th-century doors are flanked by a central passageway entrance. The windows have 20th-century leaded glazing. No. 43, on the left, features a four-light bay window with a hipped roof and a two-light casement window at the left end. No. 45, on the right, features a three-light bay window.
The attic has two gabled half-dormers with bargeboards and narrow lights over paired two-light casements. The gables display close-studding, and the framing is square with a braced wall plate. A large rear wing extends from the main building.
The interior was not inspected during the listing process.
