Description
Old Bakehouse Cottage is a cottage built in 1714, with a late 18th century to early 19th century addition on the left side. The cottage is constructed from regularly coursed lias stone, featuring an ironstone plinth, quoins, and a string course. It has a thatched roof and a brick stack at the left end. The building has a two-unit plan, along with a single-storey addition. It stands two storeys high and has a two-window range. The central entrance features a half-glazed, four-panelled door and an open timber porch. The windows are two-light casements with horizontal glazing bars, and the ground floor windows have ironstone lintels with keystones. Above the entrance is a datestone. The addition has a blocked doorway and a similar three-light casement with a wooden lintel, and it has a hipped roof. The interior has not been inspected.
