Description
Rosemary Cottage is a 17th-century cottage that has undergone 20th-century alterations and additions on both the left and right sides. It features a timber frame with whitewashed brick infill, and it has been underbuilt and extended in whitewashed brick. The roof is made of old tiles, with brick ridges and internal stacks. The cottage has a two-unit plan that has been extended to form a T-plan, with one storey and an attic, and it includes a two-window range. The centre of the building projects with a gable. There is a 20th-century plank door located in the right corner, along with 20th-century leaded-light wood casements. Above the door, there is a raked dormer. At the rear, the cottage features jowled posts and tension braces, as well as a 20th-century canted bay window. Inside, the cottage showcases exposed timber framing and stop-chamfered ceiling beams.
