Description
Falkland House is a house that possibly has origins from the 17th century but was refaced and raised in the mid to late 18th century. It is constructed of regularly coursed ironstone, with the ends raised in brick. The thatched roof features a coped stone gable parapet with a moulded kneeler on the left side and has brick end stacks. The house has a 2-unit plan and is two storeys tall with an attic, presenting a three-window range. The central entrance is a late 20th century ribbed plank door that is sheltered by a thatched hood. The ground floor windows are topped with stone lintels that include keystones. On the first floor, there are three-light and a central two-light casement window, some of which have leaded lights. The interior has not been inspected.
