Description
No. 3 Stratford Road is a house that dates back to the 17th century, with some alterations made in the early 19th century. The right part of the building features a timber frame with plastered or brick infill, while the left part is constructed of brick laid in English bond. It has a half-hipped thatch roof with a brick stack located at the rear of the ridge. The house has a three-unit plan and is a single storey with an attic.
The ground floor includes a canted bay window with a combination of 2/2, 8/8, and 2/2 sashes. There is an eyebrow dormer that contains a two-light casement window, and some square framing is visible on the right end. The right return side features a casement window to the left and a two-light leaded casement window with some crown glass above it, along with a small brick wing that has a tiled roof and a two-light small-paned casement. The left return side has segmental-headed windows with 8/8 sashes on each floor.
The interior has not been inspected.
