Description
This building is a cottage located approximately 25 meters east of Bryher Cottage, dating from the 17th century. It is constructed from banded limestone and ironstone squared coursed rubble, featuring ironstone quoins. The roof is covered with wood shingles and has a brick stack at one end, hipped to the left. The cottage is two storeys high and has a two-window range with a two-unit plan.
On the right side, there is an old plank door with a wood lintel, while the left side has two openings with wood lintels, although one window is missing. On the first floor, there are three-light wood mullioned casements on both the left and right sides. At the rear left, there is a 20th-century outshut, and brick patching can be seen at the back of the building.
Inside, there is a large chamfered spine beam with stepped stops, and a blocked open fireplace with the bressumer still in place. Upstairs, there is another chamfered spine beam, and the roof features pegged queen struts with original purlins and rafters, along with new rafters added above. The cottage is noted to be in poor physical condition.
