Description

This is an 18th-century dovecote located approximately 15 meters east of Manor Farmhouse on Tredington Church Lane. It is constructed of squared, coursed lias stone and has a corrugated iron roof. The structure features three small bays. In the center, there is an old doorway with a wooden lintel. To the right side, there is a small two-light wooden casement window, also with a wooden lintel. The rear has some brick patching, and there is a 19th-century brick lean-to on the left side. Inside, all four walls are lined with stone nesting boxes that extend from the floor to the roof. A later first floor has been inserted. The roof is a trenched purlin type, retaining original tie beams, purlins, collars, and both principal and ordinary rafters.
