Description
Two headstones located approximately 8 meters north of the northwest corner of the porch of the Church of St. Peter and St. Clare. They date from the late 17th century and early 18th century and are made of carved ironstone. The headstone on the left commemorates Jeremiah Griffin, dated 1684, featuring a winged head and a festoon, along with a moulded square panel and twisted half-columns. The headstone on the right has a scrolled segmental top with a winged head, and a shield panel framed by a festoon and flowers. These headstones are included for their group value.
