Barn And Stable And Shelter Shed Immediately North Of Thelsford Farmhouse

The building is a barn and stable with an adjacent shelter shed located immediately north of Thelsford Farmhouse, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of brick and features gabled tile roofs.

The exterior of the north range includes the barn with the stable positioned to the west. It has a top dentilled brick cornice. The south side features a stable entrance with a blocked segmental head, flanked by segmental-headed windows and a pitching hole above. The barn has a segmental-headed threshing floor entrance with paired doors, and to the right is a projecting shelter shed that has two entrances in an enclosed section to the left of an open section supported by timber posts. The short return has a hipped roof. The west end includes a small attached stable with a catslide outshut to the right of the stable door, while the east end has an inserted entrance. The rear features a threshing floor entrance within a porch to the left of a gabled wing, which has altered windows.

Inside the barn, there are brick piers that support queen-strut trusses with truncated principals. This building is part of an early 19th-century farmyard group.
