Description
Hill View is a house dating from the 17th century, which was remodelled in the early 19th century. It is constructed of squared coursed ironstone and features a slate double-span roof with coped gable parapets and moulded kneelers, along with brick ridge stacks. The building has a double-depth plan and stands two storeys high with a five-window range. The front facade includes two large gables and a smaller central false gable with a parapet in between. The outer gables are adorned with carved brick finials. The central entrance consists of a fielded six-panelled door with an overlight that has a glazing bar. A painted wood pedimented Tuscan porch supported by columns and pilasters enhances the entrance. The windows are sashes with thick frames and painted wood lintels. Notably, there is a 17th-century mullioned window located at the rear of the house. The interior has not been inspected.
