Description
Ide Cottage is a cottage dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. It features a timber frame with brick infill and a lias stone plinth. The right end and right return side are built with regular coursed lias stone. The cottage has a tile roof with brick ridges, and end and external stacks. It has a three-unit baffle-entry plan and is one storey with an attic, displaying a three-window range. A 20th-century brick porch with a stable door is present, along with 19th-century casement windows that include many glazing bars and 19th-century dormers. The left return side is underbuilt in brick, while the right return side has a 19th-century external stack. The interior has not been inspected.
