Description
Home Farm Cottage is a cottage with origins dating back to the 17th century, which has been altered and converted in the mid to late 20th century. The building features a ground floor constructed of regularly coursed lias stone, with brick above and a timber-framed gable that has brick infill. It has a 20th-century tile roof and a small 20th-century brick internal stack. The cottage has a one-unit plan, is one storey high with an attic, and includes a 20th-century dormer. The front has a one-window range, and the entrance is located on the right return side, featuring a 20th-century door and an open porch. The windows are 20th-century casements with glazing bars. Inside, there is a broad-chamfered ceiling beam. A 20th-century addition has been made to the rear of the cottage. It is said that the building was a bakehouse before its conversion.
