Description
Castle Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the mid to late 18th century. It is constructed of brick and features a brick string course and a brick dentil cornice. The roof is tiled and from the 20th century, with brick external stacks. The building has a double-depth plan and stands two storeys high with an attic that includes dormers, arranged in a two-window range. The entrance consists of a half-glazed door beneath a mid to late 19th-century trellis porch. The windows on the ground floor are mid-20th century metal casements set under segmental brick arches. A string course on the first floor breaks below the window sills, and there is a central blind window. The dormers feature wooden casements with glazed cheeks, and the stacks have oversailing courses. On the left return side, there is a broad stack with string courses. At the rear, there are two parallel ranges with adjacent gables and 20th-century casements, along with late 19th to early 20th-century additions. The interior has not been inspected.
