Description
Rose Cottage is a semi-detached cottage dating from the 17th century. It has a timber frame with plaster and whitewashed brick infill, topped with a tiled roof and brick stacks. The cottage features a two-unit plan and is one storey high with an attic, presenting a three-window range. A 20th-century plastered porch with a studded door leads to a half-glazed stable door inside. The windows are leaded-light casements, and there are three raked dormers. The right side of the cottage has jowled posts and a broad external stack with a fire window. Inside, the cottage showcases exposed timber framing and beams, as well as an inglenook fireplace. There is a large mid-20th-century addition at the rear.
