Description
The left gatepier and garden wall, located approximately 10 meters southeast of Gorcott Hall, date from the late 17th century to early 18th century. They are constructed of English bond brick and feature a stone cornice, finial, and coping. The tall square pier has a large moulded cornice and an octagonal ball finial, while the wall has substantial coping. A section of the wall to the left has been much repaired. The wall continues at right angles northwards towards the house. This structure is part of an interesting group that includes the right gatepier and wall, Gorcott Hall, and other associated structures such as gatepiers, garden walls, a stable, granary, and an attached barn.
