Description
Cottage Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse with some alterations from the mid-20th century and an outshut at the rear. It features a roughcast timber-frame construction with brick nogging and a gabled tile roof, consisting of two framed bays aligned east-west.
On the garden facade, which faces south, the building is two storeys high. The first floor has a single-light casement window, while the ground floor includes a central entrance with a wooden architrave and a part-glazed door, flanked by two 3-light casement windows. The framing consists of three square panels high.
Inside, the right room has a tie beam with a massive chamfer, and there is an inglenook fireplace with a bressumer beam that is partly blocked in on the left. The first floor features an exposed wall plate.
