Description
Mount Pleasant is a farmhouse dating from the early 17th century, with some alterations made in the mid-20th century. The building features a timber-frame structure with painted brick infill and is designed in an L-shape, with one wing extending to the northeast and the other to the northwest, where a stack is located at the junction.
The northeast front has a gabled wing on the left side, which is two storeys high and contains two 2-light casement windows on each floor, along with a shallow plank weathering at the ground floor. The other range is also two storeys tall, featuring a gable-lit attic with two windows: a 2-light casement on the left and a single-light window on the right. The ground floor has a roughly central 3-light casement window with plank weathering, and the entrance, located in the angle of the building, is accessed through a glass-fronted porch with a lean-to roof.
In terms of framing, the right side of the building has three square panels high over close-studding, while the other range has four square panels high with straight angle braces.
