Description
Woodbine Cottage is a cottage that is part of a row, dating from the early 18th century, with the front raised and altered in the early 19th century. It is constructed of coursed squared ironstone rubble, with the first floor roughcast on the front only. The cottage has a slate roof and a brick stack on the right side. It features a two-unit plan, is two storeys high with an attic, and has a one-window range. The central entrance consists of a fielded two-panel door set in an open-fronted painted wood porch, with a window immediately to the right and a fire window also on the right. The first floor has a small two-light casement window, and there are painted wood lintels above the windows. The left return side has a two-light first floor casement that has been inserted into a painted stone-mullioned window where the mullion has been removed. The interior is said to have an open fireplace. The cottage is included for its group value.
