Description
Braggins House is a house dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century, built from regularly coursed ironstone. It has a concrete tile roof with a coped gable parapet and a stone ridge stack with a brick shaft. The house features a 2-unit baffle-entry plan and stands two storeys tall with an attic, presenting a two-window range. The entrance includes a four-panelled door topped by a large stone lintel with a hood mould. The ground floor has three-light stone-mullioned windows, which also have hood moulds; however, the original mullions have been removed and replaced with 18th or 19th-century three-light casements featuring horizontal glazing bars. The left side of the house has two single-light attic windows and a small oval window in the gable apex. The rear of the house is similar to the front. The interior has not been inspected. There is a late 20th-century addition on the left side that is not of special architectural interest.
