Description
The stables and cart shed at Number 72, located on Salter Street in Tanworth-in-Arden, date from the early 18th century. They are constructed from reddish-brown brick and feature timber-framing with brick nogging at the rear, topped with a plain-tile roof.
The building is single-storey with an attic and consists of two bays. To the right is a single-storey, single-bay cart shed. There are two entrances with split plank stable doors and two additional openings covered with planks, all set under elliptical arches. The upper stage has an off-centre left plank pitching door, while the rear displays panels of square timber-framing. The cart shed is accessed through double plank doors.
The interior was not inspected. This building is included for its group value with Number 72.
