Description
Church Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 16th century to early 17th century, with later additions and alterations. The building features square panels of timber-framing with arched braces and close-studding on the rear ground floor, along with painted brick infill set on a coursed stone plinth. It has plain-tile roofs and reddish-brown brick stacks. The layout is a three-unit, lobby-entrance plan with an extension to the right.
The exterior is a single storey with an attic and has a three-window range. There are three entrances, each with plank doors set in moulded wood door-frames, and corrugated-iron hoods above the doorways. The windows have been renewed as casements throughout, and there are three gabled dormers in the attic. The roof is steeply pitched with gables and features a large ridge stack.
Inside, it is believed that there is extensive exposed timber-framing.
