Description
Forsham is a farmhouse dating from the late 16th century or 17th century, with later alterations. It is timber framed, with the ground floor underbuilt in red and grey brick laid in Flemish bond. The first floor features broadly-spaced studding, four tension braces, and brick nogging. The roof is covered with plain tiles and has a lobby entry plan. The building is two storeys high with a garret, set on a stone plinth. The roof is half-hipped to the left, and there is an off-centre brick ridge stack to the right. The windows are irregularly arranged, consisting of three 3-light casements. There is a 20th-century ribbed door located under the stack, and a rear lean-to is situated to the right, along with a central rear stair turret. A rear wing to the left is not included in this description. The interior showcases exposed framing.
