Description
Sole Street Farm House is a farmhouse dating from the early 16th century, with an extension added in the 18th century. It is timber-framed and clad in weatherboard, with exposed timbers and brick-nogging on the ground floor to the left. The roof is plain tiled and half-hipped, featuring a tall ridge stack and two hipped dormers at the front. The building has two storeys and attics, with an irregular arrangement of windows: one on the first floor and two on the ground floor, all of which are wooden casements. There is a central panelled door and a 1½-storey wing at the rear. Inside, there are two 16th-century fireplaces with 4-centred moulded brick arches, and a substantial timber frame is visible.
