Description
Brickhouse Farmhouse is a 17th century farmhouse, dated 1677. The building is timber-framed and rendered, with a hipped roof covered in plain tiles. A stack is located on the left side of the front slope and a smaller stack on the right. The farmhouse has two storeys and an attic, with a string-course stepped up in the centre. The front elevation has a regular three-window arrangement, with small tripartite sash windows on the first floor. The central entrance is topped by a hood supported on carved brackets, above which is a pedimented tablet bearing the date 1677 and the initials IL and a heart. The farmhouse was undergoing extensive works at the time of the resurvey.
