Description

Laurel Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse, with alterations made in the early to mid-19th century. The farmhouse is constructed of rendered timber frame, with a gabled roof. The right-hand section features a thatched roof and a mid-20th century brick stack, while the left-hand section has a low-pitched pantile roof. The original layout is unclear, but the ground floor now comprises four rooms. The two-storey, two-window range to the left has a central 19th-century plank door with a bracketed hood and 19th-century three-light casement windows with leaded lights. The single-storey, attic portion to the right has a two-window range with mid-20th century windows, a porch, and a central eyebrow dormer. Internally, the farmhouse features stop-chamfered spine beams with run-out stops, a winder stair adjoining the stack to the left, and a butt-purlin roof.
