Griff Cottage And Disused Cottage Adjoining To Left

Griff Cottage and the disused cottage adjoining to the left are two cottages dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. They feature a combination of timber-framing and brick, with the front covered in roughcast. The cottages have an old plain-tile roof, with a brick ridge and external stacks. They are one storey high with an attic.

Griff Cottage has a two-unit plan and a two-window range. The entrance is through a plank door that has a 19th-century wooden pitched hood supported by simple shaped brackets. To the left, there is a shuttered window, while to the right, a three-light casement window with glazing bars and shutters is present. The dormers feature two-light casements with a horizontal glazing bar. The right side of the cottage has a large external stack.

The disused cottage has a one-unit plan and includes a shuttered window. Its dormer has a part-leaded two-light casement. On the left side, there is a plank door and a 19th-century brick open-fronted lean-to porch. Additionally, there is a small single-storey range from the 19th century. The interiors of both cottages have not been inspected.
