NUNEATON AND BEDWORTH ALL SAINTS SQUARE SP38NE (North side) Bedworth 5/3 The Nurses House 18/07/83 (Formerly listed as The Cottage) GV II

House. Mid C19. Flemish bond brick with painted stone or rendered dressings. Late C20 plain-tile roof; brick ridge and left end stacks have square shafts and moulded stone string courses and cornices, and embattled tops. 2-unit baffle entry plan. 2 storeys and basement; 3-window range. Symmetrical front. Rusticated basement has windows. C19/C20 six-panelled door has flight of stone steps. Late C20 top-hung windows, with narrower central window. All openings have chamfered, eared and shouldered architraves. Moulded cornice. Interior not inspected. Forms part of the Chamberlaine's Almshouses complex (q.v.). Included for group value.
